There is speculation surrounding the exact date and venue of this show. The following is from "an old Manson bootleg site", via mansonlive.com:Torrent posted on dimeadozen.org:Ft. Lauderdale, FL - November 1989The following post was made on the torrent:
^^NOTE^^This was previously thought to be from Miami, 1990. Ist got the Rev (obviously) on vocals, Madonna on keyboards, Daisy on guitar, Gidget on Bass, and a drum machine for drums.
Since the very first SK show was in 1990, the information above can't be completely true but anyway it is the earliest known MM video recording. Venue may be The Squeeze - the announcer says "the squeeze" after the show but I'm not sure if he's talking about the venue or something else.
www.spookykids.net cites the following from alt.music.marilyn-manson:
There is a video that has been widely circulated and is listed with most traders as "11/89." This date is incorrect, however, as the Spooky Kids played their first show on April 28, 1990. According to this post on alt.music.marilyn-manson, Grim Jack said:
> Hey kids, the latest on the '89 video. The date is NOT 1989 on this tape,
> the show took place at the Reunion Room in Ft. Lauderdale in mid to late
> 1990. So the date we all have is wrong. Also this show marks the first
> appearance of Madonna Wayne Gacy as a member of Marilyn Manson. Also MWG
> was NOT a roadie for the band prior to joining MM, he was "this weird guy
> we ran into at bars all the time and Brian talked him into getting a sampler."

thanks for this. I lived and still do live in ft. lauderdale since 1979.
have seen most of those early shows that m&m + sk played here.
I remember they also played at rosebuds with the drum machine around that time too.
after watching this video I am sure that this show was at the Squeeze club.
they played there more than anyplace else I recall.
looks like the squeeze setup.
someone even says that at the end.
dunno who the other band is?
back in those days there were tons of thrash bands here.
if I can ever find my collection of flyers from those early shows........• According to Daisy this show was not 1989 and was Pogo's first showspookykids.net says the first show with Gidget and Pogo was July 4th 1990 at Club Nu in Miami, with Nine Inch Nails. The next show played was July 27th.
• According to mansonwiki.com Pogo's first show was 7/27/1990
Whatever the case, this is an amazing quality show given how old it is an what it is capturing. There is footage of another band briefly at the end of the show, bringing the total duration to 46min 17sec.
*****UPDATE DEC 2019: I have seen this show on an old VHS trading site listed with the venue as Shades. Not sure if there's any merit to it, but I thought it would be worth including here for reference.

Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids
?-?-1990
Ft. Lauderdale, FL, USA
Reunion Room (or Squeeze, as acidfrank below says that was the venue)
Here's another old show without an exact date and with a questionable city/venue. Originally traded as November 1989, it's now known to be from 1990 (after April 28, as that was the date of the first Spooky Kids show). It's the earliest known live video recording, and it may be the earliest live recording at all. Supposedly, this was Pogo's first show playing with the band, but I'm not sure that's right. The band at this show was:
Manson - vocals
Daisy - guitar
Gidget - bass
Pogo - keyboard
And a drum machine.
Stills below. Enjoy.
01. Meat For A Queen
02. Strange Same Dogma
03. My Monkey
04. Son Of Man
05. IV-TV
06. Junk The Magic Dragon
07. Cake And Sodomy
08. Red (In My) Head
09. Dune Buggy
10. White Knuckles
11. My Monkey (as intro to--->)
12. People Who Died
After the show, it cuts to another band playing for maybe a minute. I have no idea who they are.

This version is an upgrade to what I previously had. Old show details as below (no longer available for trade):

DVD obviously sourced from a high-gen VHS... blacks are pretty washy and the whole thing is generally pretty dark. The credits claim "Digitally Encoded by WaxTrax!".
