Realkosh MiniDisc Masters
December 2023.
I'd seen realkosh's name around the traps for a while but we never spoke until a couple of years ago. He lives not too far from me and eventually we met up to do some VHS transferring. At some point the topic of MiniDiscs came up as well. I'd picked up a Sony MZ-RH1, which was the final MiniDisc unit Sony ever produced, and was the only unit ever to allow for digital extraction of a MiniDisc's contents, through Sony's SonicStage software. Prior to this, you'd have to playback the MiniDisc and record it into a computer or another device. The next time we caught up, he brought his MDs around and I was able to do fresh digital transfers of them all.
