When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide, when I get to the top, I go for a ride, then I get to the bottom and I see you again.
Sample: The world of madness is a lot bigger than the world of sane.
Notes:
This footage is an 'extra' on the Birth Of The Antichrist DVD. No information is provided on the release regarding the date or location of this performance. A few observations:
It could be narrowed down further if someone is able to identify the venue. Here's Manson leaving through the front (?) door, which should be easily recognisable as it appears to have a porthole window. The neon light above it is a Budweiser sign.
I have included a few more screenshots below to help identify the venue. Comparing with other known Manson videos, it looks different to the Squeeze, Plus 5 and Weekends. Please let me know if you have any info that could help with this. One final possible lead - the final live track on the Genesis Of The Devil CD is taken from this show, titled on the release as Misery Machine (First Ever Recording Of Marilyn Manson). Obviously it's not the first ever recording of the band as a whole, but it may allude to being the first show after they dropped the Spooky Kids from their name? If so that would put this as August 12 1992, at Squeeze. But probably not a good idea to give too much merit to that, due to the numerous other errors across the release.
The other Genesis... live tracks are from the Birth Of The Antichrist main feature.
- Misery Machine: matches very closely the version on Live As Hell, using the "We will ride you to Hell, until you are dead" sample. Live As Hell was recorded April 26, 1992 and is the song's first demo appearance.
- My Monkey: Manson still sings the Charles Manson "I make music" quote (later to be replaced by "what I make is what I am, I can't be forever").
- At the end of Misery Machine, Manson launches through the crowd and it looks like out the front door of the venue, into broad daylight.
- Manson does not yet have his cyclops tattoo on his right arm. By the 1993-04-16 show, he does.
